A specialist from Miami explains how hormones function and how hormone pellet therapy can do more damage than good to us

Hormone Pellet Therapy Miami FLHormones are chemical substances that act like messenger molecules in the body.

They travel through the bloodstream to other body parts and control different processes. Hormones control our mood, growth, development, metabolism, and reproduction.

When hormones become imbalanced, they disrupt the normal processes in the body. In some people, hormone imbalance causes fatigue, low libido, sleeping problems, and other problems.

A hormone doctor from Miami teaches us more about the different essential hormones in the body and what to do when hormones get imbalanced.

I’ve heard of hormone pellet therapy; is it safe?

Hormone pellet therapy is a type of hormone therapy that uses a small pellet inserted under the skin. It is an effective delivery method that continuously releases a hormone to correct hormone imbalance.

However, hormone pellet therapy is associated with six times more side effects! The risks simply do not outweigh the benefits. Would you be willing to take the risk?

There is no doubt that hormone pellet therapy provides an excellent delivery system, but it is usually associated with a more significant number of side effects.

Hormone pellet therapy with estradiol and/or testosterone has been reported to cause six times as many side effects. Symptoms may include abnormal uterine bleeding, acne breakouts, crazy mood swings, changes in hair patterns, and weight gain.

Another drawback with hormone pellet therapy is dose adjustment. The dose cannot be adjusted once inserted, which is usually the case during therapy. This may lead to overdose or underdose, which is not a good thing either.

With hormone pellet therapy, dosage adjustment is only possible by surgical removal and reinsertion, which is risky and invasive.

What are the Essential Hormones?

  • Estrogen

Women’s reproductive and growth processes are influenced by estrogen. Eggs, produced by the ovaries, are the body’s primary source of estrogen.

Fat tissue and the adrenal glands also produce small amounts of estrogen. Menopause or surgical removal of the ovaries is the most common cause of low estrogen in women. Men also have estrogen, but in much smaller amounts.

  • Testosterone

The primary sex hormone found in men is testosterone, produced in the testes. It controls the physical appearance of men.

Women also have testosterone, but in much smaller amounts. Testosterone is responsible for physical changes that turn a boy into a man, called puberty.

  • Insulin

The fat-storage hormone insulin is released by your pancreas and regulates many of your metabolic processes. This hormone makes it possible for your organs, liver, and fat to absorb glucose.

If your body doesn’t generate enough insulin or isn’t using it well, blood sugar accumulates and can set you up for diabetes.

  • Thyroid hormones

The thyroid gland releases triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). These hormones play an essential role in regulating your weight, energy levels, internal temperature, skin, hair, nail growth, and metabolism.

When thyroid hormones are imbalanced, it’s called either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.

  • Cortisol

Cortisol is the stress hormone. The adrenal glands secrete cortisol mostly in response to stress and release it into the bloodstream. Cortisol levels rise and fall throughout the day, especially when stressed or out of balance.

Other factors that can increase cortisol production and release include exercise, excitement, and low blood sugar.

Due to too many drawbacks in their use, we do not recommend hormone pellet therapy. Here are some alternatives.

Alternatives to Hormone Pellet Therapy?

Fortunately, there are alternatives to hormone pellet therapy. At NuLife Institute, we offer a wide array of alternatives that are much safer and have fewer side effects.

  • Hormone Replacement Therapy for Men

It is normal for men to experience a decline in hormone levels as they age. These often go unnoticed, but recognizing hormone imbalance in men is crucial since these can negatively impact their bodies and minds.

Hormone therapy for men will give you more energy!

  • Testosterone Replacement Therapy for Men

Men experience hormone depletion differently than women, as their testosterone levels fluctuate. Men should know how low testosterone levels affect their daily lives and the signs and symptoms before things get worse.

Testosterone therapy might be for you if you are looking for a leaner body, increased libido, and unlimited energy!

  • Human Growth Hormone (HGH) for Men and Women

HGH is essential for both men and women. As we age, we produce less HGH. This causes fatigue and loss of energy, irregular sleep cycles, anxiety and depression, and loss of interest in sex and other activities.

Therefore, it is essential to take the necessary steps to ensure the best possible results later in life.

  • Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

BHRT makes use of hormones that are herbal in origin. BHRT hormones are individualized based on a person’s medical history, goals, and needs, unlike hormone pellet therapy.

It is a safe and natural way to deal with age-related hormone decline and its associated symptoms.
