    biography

Hakia (pronounced Ha- Kee-Ah), warmly known as Kia, is a native of New Orleans with a bubbly personality that defines her enthusiasm and commitment to excellence. Her family hails from Belize but her roots are in New Orleans where she developed an avid passion for Jazz music. Kia’s love for Jazz inspired her volunteer work at Jazz concerts, festivals, and even at the world renown New Orleans Jazz Fest!

After Kia earned her Public Relations and Marketing degrees from Tulane University she pushed herself beyond her comfort zones to become a professional Cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. In this role, Kia really began to embrace her naturally outgoing personality and nurture the traits that have defined her successes and continual growth here at NuLife Institute.

Kia welcomes each day by applying her positivity and enthusiasm to her tireless commitment to changing patient’s live. With over 10 years of experience in Customer Service, Kia is not only an inspiration to her colleagues but is an unfailing source of encouragement, knowledge, and enthusiasm for her patients! If she isn’t at NuLife Institute Kia can be found enjoying some sun with her miniature Schnauzer at Miami’s local dog parks!
